still adv. even now [Concise Oxford Dictionary]

"The inspiration for Still VI arose after a number of visits I made to the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, where I was particularly taken by the fragments of Roman antiquary on display. I have always been fascinated by the way our minds readily accept the fragmentary and can construct many different explanations of what the whole might have looked like or been about. At the same time, the very existence of the fragment seems to imbue it with a power and intensity it might not have had originally as part of a bigger piece. Still VI is intended to intrigue and inspire the imagination"

The patina on this bronze version of the relief sculpture echoes the natural limestone with the dot above the 'i' being left as a highly polished finish. It is shown mounted stand-alone on a stainless steel plinth but could be made without the plinth, as a wall sculpture, to special order.
